Cherry T is a London based session drummer and freelance tutor, originally from Switzerland.
She is known to be a groove and pocket based drummer with a “dynamic and lyrical” approach when performing and writing with bands. You’ll mostly find her playing in genres such as: Funk Rock, Blues, Rock Hybrid-Progressive Folk, and Pop - on drums, cajon and other percussion instruments, what ever best suits the venue.
She studied at The Academy of Contemporary Music (ACM) and graduated with a BA (Hons) in ‘Professional Industry Practice and Performance’ in 2018 and has been teaching privately ever since. In September 2019 she was invited to join Drum Works (Barbican) as a tutor, where she co-leads weekly sessions across East London, working with more than 60 young people every week.
A passionate theatre enthusiast herself, she has had the pleasure to take on the percussion and drum chair on productions by: Italia Conti, Guildford School of Acting (GSA), Filippos Zarfeiadis, Performance Preparation Academy and the TRW Summer School. Musical Directors she has worked for include: Kevin Oliver Jones, Nathan Dawe, Dimitra Bakalgianni.
